The Boone County, Missouri Democrats didn’t get the memo:

Under current “new tone” rules, this is not only encouraging violence against babies, but the consumption of them also.

Not only that, but it appears that the entire state of Missouri is in the crosshairs:

Stop the hate.

Email: A reader points out something I didn’t notice, but give it a close look and you’ll see it:

The words Bocomo DEMOCRATS Target 2012 that are superimposed on the target, make the shape of a pistol with a bullet coming out. And on the address side of the post card the words when coupled with Boone County Democrats 2011 chili supper make the shape of a magazine fed rifle. I’ve worked in graphic design long enough to know that when graphics are designed every aspect is made to work with the them, even down to which fonts are used and their placement.

‘Man with the Golden Voice’ Ted Williams

Ted Williams, the homeless man with a “Golden Voice” is quickly learning that his new found fame is going to bring a plethora of problems along with it.

Police were called to the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood Monday night where Ted Williams is staying. It seems he and his daughter became involved in a heated argument over money.

Of course.

Staff members at the Renaissance Hotel called police on Ted Williams and his daughter after their argument became extremely loud and disruptive. The two were taken to the local police station and released soon after. No laws had been broken and neither wanted to press charges.

Now that Ted Williams and his “golden voice” have been discovered, rescuing him from the streets where he had been living for years, Ted probably has a pocket full of money and opportunity. But for his daughter to be concerned with money so soon seems a bit selfish to me. Shouldn’t she be more concerned with the fact that her father is well, off the streets and back in her life rather than money?

Despite Ted Williams not being there for his children (and he had a lot of kids, nine to be exact) and getting caught up in a world of drugs, he seems genuinely remorseful that his addictions took over his life and caused him to miss out on his children’s upbringing. I’m sure he plans on making it up to them, but for cripe’s sakes, it’s only been a week. I just hope that his children give him a chance to be a father again and don’t make it all about money. If he owes anyone money it’s the mother of his children who raised the kids on her own.

Regardless, Mr. Ted Williams and his golden voice certainly have a rough road ahead. Let’s hope he and his family can come together instead of be pushed further apart during this crazy time in their lives. This story could have a happy ending – but will it?
